Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is best known for her role as actress Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. An California native, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. Then, she made the decision to follow a career of acting. Her debut on screen was an episode from 2010 on the CBS show 'NCIS. The biographical crime movie J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year later. In the ensuing years she's established herself as one of the best young actresses working in the industry today. In 2011, she won a nomination for the Young Artist Award, Best performance by an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress in a Television Series for her role in "NCIS". In 2013, for the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' it Comedy Series and received a second nomination for the Young Artist Award. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom" which was the show's in its first three seasons, as well as making numerous appearances during Season 4. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom.
