Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is best known as the actress who played Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano is from California, and began her career in athletics. However, she later chose to pursue an acting career. Her first appearance on screen was in 2010 in the CBS show 'NCIS. In the biographical crime drama movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance on the big screen a just a few months later. Over the years she's made herself known to be one of the most promising young actresses within the field today. In 2011, she was awarded the Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress on a TV Series and in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. Her role as a guest on Disney XD's comedy 'Kickin' It' was nominated once more for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the cast of Mom during its initial three years and appeared numerous times during the fourth. In 2015, her performance in the show "Mom" was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
